Rich Casey, Chairman of the Board and CEO
Rich Casey is the chairman of the board and CEO of The Casey Group. He founded the company in 1989 with the mission of leveraging information technology to deliver strategic advantage and operational efficiencies to his clients.
Prior to founding The Casey Group, Rich held various positions in the IT industry, beginning his career at AT&T in 1980. In 2002, he was awarded the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Morris County Chamber of Commerce (NJ).
Rich holds an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor's degree in biology from Rider University. He also completed a three-year executive management program for owners, presidents and managers and attended the Advanced Learning Institute at the Harvard Business School.
In addition to his leadership of The Casey Group, Rich is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Affinity Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in New Jersey.
Laura A. DeRosa, Director of Application Development and Support
Laura is responsible for managing multiple client projects and new client engagements. Key clients include Tyco and ADT. Laura has been directing the teams responsible for new development and production support for these clients and others for over 11 years. Her teams are skilled across multiple technologies with deep experience in mainframe and web technologies. Laura has been in the Information Technology business for over 30 years. Prior to joining The Casey Group in 2003, Laura had over 20 years of experience working with large IT Service provider companies like Prudential Financial Services, ADP, Deloitte Consulting, Dun and Bradstreet, and The Chubb Institute.
Throughout her career, Laura has demonstrated the ability to lead and manage large distributed teams, located onsite, onshore, and offshore, in the successful completion of complex projects. Additionally, Laura is skilled at teaching and managing IT education courses.
Laura holds a diploma from the Chubb Institute in Computer Programming as well as certifications from George Washington University and County College of Morris and is CCM level 2 certified and has been through 2 certifications for CMM level 2.
Mary Ann White, Director of Marketing and Sales Operations
As the Director of Marketing and Sales Operations, Mary Ann supports sales and marketing efforts across all of The Casey Group’s products and services. Her primary responsibilities include managing sales and marketing activities for The Casey Group’s Sales Navigator mobile application, account management and administration of NetCharge Payment Solutions as well as supporting The Casey Group’s core IT services.
Before joining The Casey Group in 2006, Mary Ann spent over 10 years in Sales and Marketing roles at AT&T. During her time at AT&T, Mary Ann managed and grew account modules valued at over $30M of both State Government and University clients, with a keen focus on contract negotiations and coordination of RFP responses covering renewal, retention and acquisition activities.
Later, she became involved in the marketing of AT&T’s broad array of services to college students; specifically responsible for AT&T’s College Calling Card strategy and implementation. Mary Ann was also a key member of the team responsible for launching bundled communications services to AT&T residential customers and helped to grow bundled services to over $2 billion within 3 years.
Mary Ann attended The Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration.
Jennifer Vernicek, Director of Human Resources
As the Director of Human Resources, Jennifer is responsible for ensuring that the administrative systems and processes of The Casey Group are operationally efficient and effective. Her primary responsibilities are to manage strategic human resource and administrative activities; provide a perspective on growth and expansion while supporting and sustaining an award winning corporate culture with a customer first mindset.
Jennifer has a thorough understanding of the company's requirements regarding human resources, administrative functions and physical plant needs. She partners with Executive Management to identify talent gaps and address the needs of departments, and staff in key positions. Additionally, Jennifer is responsible for the implementation of all community outreach programs and for supervising and monitoring day-to-day work activities of all administrative and support functions. Her performances in these areas have been key to the company being named a Best Place to Work in NJ for the last 4 years.
Jennifer developed her administrative and leadership skills by rising through the Executive Support and administrative functions at companies such as Formica, ADT, and PWC before joining The Casey Group in 2002. She reports directly to the Chairman.
Jennifer is an honors graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School and is a certified paralegal. She has also attended the County College of Morris with certifications for legal assistant and for aerobic fitness.
