Application Performance Evaluation

The Casey Group reviews all components of a defined system to determine where potential issues may cause problems. Applications are benchmarked with current performance timings and compared against targets set by your business. Once established, the applications are then reviewed to optimize performance. Monitors and other tools are employed to review the application code both dynamically and statically. Using various stress, load and regression testing tools, the application is put through vigorous testing. Depending on the outcome, the various components, from infrastructure configuration to service components, are tuned to meet and exceed performance expectations.

The areas we tune are:

  • Database (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Application code logic and system level areas (Buffer Pools, Threads Reuse, Memory Allocation)
  • Configuration of Infrastructure such as JVMs, Portal
  • Network Architecture
  • Server configurations
